Shruti Rajan and Garima Joshi are leaving Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas to join Trilegal. As per sources, after voting concluded today, the partnership at Trilegal has decided in favour of Rajan and Joshi joining the firm as Partners.
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Managing Partner Cyril Shroff confirmed that Rajan and Joshi are leaving the firm.
The two lawyers have been put on three months' notice, according to a reliable source.
Rajan was a Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas’ Mumbai office and heads the financial regulatory practice of the firm, with a special emphasis on regulatory issues in relation to RBI and SEBI regulated intermediaries.
Joshi was also a Partner in the financial regulatory practice at the Mumbai office of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
With the two lawyers joining Trilegal, the firm will now have eleven (11) women partners and the partnership strength has grown to fifty-seven (57).
Trilegal has hired quite a few partners from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in the recent past. The last one to join Trilegal from CAM was Joseph Jimmy. He joined the firm in November last year. Before that, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Partner Kunal Gupta, who was heading the firm’s Forensic Services practice in Delhi, had joined Trilegal.
Earlier, Nisha Kaur Uberoi, Harsh Maggon, Ganesh Rao and Aditya Jha had left AZB (previously at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas) to join Trilegal.
