Abhirup Dasgupta has quit HSA Advocates to set up his own independent chambers.

Dasgupta is a 2008 alumnus of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

With 17 years of experience, Dasgupta specialises in Insolvency & Bankruptcy Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Banking and Finance Litigation and Oppression and Mismanagement cases. He regularly represents several lenders, promoters, Resolution Professionals, acquirers and other stakeholders before NCLT, NCLAT, High Court and Supreme Court.

Dasgupta argued the first-ever IBC Petition under Section 10 filed in India by Synergies Dooray at NCLT Hyderabad. This was also the first-ever resolution plan approved in India under the IBC. He was also part of the first ever resolution plan approved by the Principal Bench of the NCLT at Delhi.

He also regularly takes guest lectures on insolvency and debt recovery laws in various colleges and forums.

Prior to going independent, Dasgupta was a Partner at HSA Advocates, a firm he was associated with for the past eight years. Prior to that, he was engaged with Dhir & Dhir for nearly five years.
