Corporate and capital market lawyers Karan Topiwala and Bharat Mordani have launched boutique corporate law firm Ananta Partners.
Ananta Partners will focus primarily on capital markets and securities law; and corporate and commercial advisory.
Topiwala is a corporate attorney with more than 8 years of experience, having built his practice working across JSA, Bharucha & Partners and IndusLaw. His work has spanned through the capital markets transactions to general corporate and private equity advisory.
Mordani is a capital markets specialist who began his career in 2015. He worked for over seven years at AZB & Partners until May 2026. Prior to his time at AZB, he was with JSA.
Speaking to Bar & Bench on the new firm, the founders said,
"A capital market transaction can be incredibly intense and what corporate clients really need is a legal partner who will actually stand by them and handhold them through every single step of the deal. While massive tier-1 firms bring immense scale, their structural demands mean they may not always have the day-to-day bandwidth to provide that level of deeply personal, continuous support, particularly for issuers outside the largest deal brackets or marquee clients, who often get the limited partner-level attention. We built Ananta Partners to bridge exactly that gap, with a core focus on advising this segment while combining institutional-grade precision with the dedicated, hands-on presence of partners who are with you from start to finish."
Ananta Partners is currently executing active mandates operating out of its Mumbai office and is looking to expand its team in the coming months.
