Exclusive: Omar Ahmad set to leave Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas for Counsel practice

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Partner Omar Ahmad is set to leave the firm in August to engage in counsel practice.

Commenting on his exit, Cyril Shroff, Managing Partner of the firm, said,

“Omar always wanted to be a counsel. We have been very supportive. On his 40^th birthday in August, he will move on. We wish him all the best and hope to continue working with him.“

Ahmad is a 2010 graduate of Symbiosis Law School, Pune.

With over 16 years of experience, he represents domestic and international clients in court litigation as well as international commercial arbitration. He frequently appears before tribunals, regulatory bodies and courts, including multiple High Courts across the country and the Supreme Court of India. Additionally, he has represented clients in investment treaty arbitration held at the Peace Palace in The Hague.

Ahmad has been associated with CAM for the past 8 years. Prior to that he was with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas for over 3 years and the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas for 5 years.

Commenting on his exit, Omar said,
