Khaitan's Shobhit Batta joins Luthra and Luthra as Partner Designate

Shobhit Batta has joined Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India as Partner Designate in the team of Senior Partner Girish Rawat.

Batta has around a decade of experience in banking and finance, with a strong focus on project finance, banking advisory, real estate finance and related transactional work. Over the course of his career, he has advised leading banks, financial institutions, developers and infrastructure stakeholders across a broad spectrum of domestic and cross-border financing matters, with particular experience in sectors such as renewable energy, roads, transmission, e-mobility, manufacturing, real estate and healthcare.

His experience spans drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance and security documents, advising on project and concession-related issues, handling due diligence exercises, title search and real estate-linked financing matters, and supporting complex lender-side and sponsor-side transactions.

He has been involved in a number of significant financing and infrastructure matters during his career, including advising on transactions relating to solar and road projects, external commercial borrowings, takeout financing, debenture subscriptions, consortium lending structures and lender-led strategic processes.

Prior to joining Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India, Batta was a Principal Associate at Khaitan & Co.
