

Tarunima Vijra has joined ArbBoutique as a Managing Counsel.
Vijra is a 2011 alumna of West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. She earned her LLM in International Dispute Settlement from Geneva Graduate Institute in 2017.
Vijra has fifteen years of experience in international arbitration and investment treaty disputes. She is admitted to the Bar Council of New Delhi and registered with the Brussels Bar, and has built a broad practice acting as counsel, tribunal secretary and arbitrator in complex cross-border proceedings.
Her experience spans a wide range of institutional and ad hoc arbitrations, including under ICC, LCIA, SIAC, SCC, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules, and covers sectors such as aviation, banking, energy, infrastructure, mining and telecommunications.
As counsel, Vijra is advising the Republic of India in setting aside and revocation proceedings before the Dutch courts in relation to investment awards arising from the Devas satellite dispute. Alongside Albert Jan van den Berg and Niuscha Bassiri, she also advised India in proceedings leading to the annulment of the investment award in Cairn Energy v. India.
Vijra was previously associated with Hanotiau & van den Berg.
ArbBoutique is also opening a new office in Hong Kong adding to its existing offices in Berlin, Brussels, London, Paris and Singapore.

ArbBoutique has also onboarded Jean Chai as an Associate.
Chai is Singapore-qualified and previously worked as an intern with ArbBoutique.
Earlier in March, ArbBoutique had onboarded Ritika Ajitsaria as an Associate. She joined after a six-month internship at ArbBoutique.
She is a 2018 alumna of National Law School of India University, and earned her LLM in International Dispute Settlement from CIDS Geneva Center for International Dispute Settlement in 2024.
