Tuhin Kanta Pandey appointed new SEBI chairperson

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Tuhin Kanta Pandey as the new Chairman of SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India).

The appointment is for a period of three years or until further orders.

Pandey succeeds the current chairperson, Madhabi Puri Buch whose tenure is ending today.

Pandey currently serves as the Finance Secretary and Secretary, Department of Revenue.
