<p><strong>Vishnu Shankar</strong> has been promoted as a Partner at international law firm Proskauer Rose LLP in London.</p>.<p>Shankar provides strategic advice on complex multi-jurisdictional EU/UK data privacy and cybersecurity matters (including General Data Protection Regulation, cybersecurity, algorithms and Big Data); and US and UK technology and intellectual property transactions (including sports, AI and Blockchain). He also defends clients in litigation or regulatory enforcement in these areas.</p>.<p>He is a 2005 graduate of National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore and has a Bachelors in Civil Laws (BCL) from Oxford University. He also holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. </p>.<p>Soon after graduating from NLSIU, Shankar worked as a law clerk-cum-researcher to Justice BN Srikrishna at the Supreme Court of India for about a year. After his LL.M, Shankar was with Covington and Burling LLP for close to seven years, after which he joined Mason Hayes & Curran for about a year in Dublin.
