[Exclusive]: Cyril Amarchand’s Corporate Partner Harsh Kumar resigns to join another big law firm

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Corporate Partner Harsh Kumar has resigned from the firm. It is understood that Harsh is likely to join another top law firm.

Confirming his resignation, Managing Partner Cyril Shroff said,

” We wish him the very best.”

Harsh is on a 3-month notice period, which also includes gardening leave.

A graduate of NUJS, Kolkata, Harsh started his career with Amarchand Mangaldas in 2005. Later in 2007, he joined Herbert Smith Freehills and worked there for over a year, after which he joined AZB & Partners. After spending over a year at AZB, he joined Khaitan & Co in August 2009. He was made Associate Partner at Khaitan in 2014.

In 2015, he left Khaitan to join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a Partner, where he was part of the firm’s corporate practice group,

Harsh focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity transactions. He also advises clients on general corporate & commercial matters.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has recently hired quite a few partners. Earlier, SAM Equity Partner Akila Agrawal left to join CAM as Head of the M&A practice. Principal Associate Mukul Sharmawho was part of Akila’s team at SAM, also joined CAM as a Partner.

Dua Equity Partner Himanshu Narayan, along with Partner Amarta Roy, will be joining CAM very soon. Recently, SAM’s Principal Associate Omar Ahmad has also moved to CAM as Partner.
