The Central government has appointed Debasish Panda as the chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) on Friday. .The Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions issued a notification to this effect on March 11.Panda was a former secretary at the Department of Financial Services (DFS).
