A Delhi court on Wednesday night granted bail to social media influencer 'The Skin Doctor', alias Dr Neelam Singh, in a case registered by the Delhi Police over his tweet against Priya Kapur, widow of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur. .Judicial Magistrate Snehil Sharma of the Patiala House Court passed the order. According to lawyers present in the hearing, Singh was produced before the judge at around 9:40 PM and the bail order was passed an hour later. The Delhi Police had sought Singh's custody for two days. .Singh told the Court that he is ready to cooperate with the investigation and deposit his mobile phone with the police within a week after the recovery of the personal data. After considering the case, the Court said that no purpose would be served by keeping the accused in custody. Therefore, it granted him bail.According to reports, Singh was arrested following a complaint filed by the Priya Kapur at Delhi’s Vasant Kunj Police Station. Dr Singh is a dermatologist and political commentator with a large following across X, Instagram, and YouTube under the alias “The Skin Doctor.” His post, for which he was arrested, questioned the circumstances surrounding Sunjay Kapur’s death and raised issues related to his estate and inheritance disputes.
