A Delhi court on Wednesday night granted bail to social media influencer 'The Skin Doctor', alias Dr Neelam Singh, in a case registered by the Delhi Police over his tweet against Priya Kapur, widow of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur.

Judicial Magistrate Snehil Sharma of the Patiala House Court passed the order.

According to lawyers present in the hearing, Singh was produced before the judge at around 9:40 PM and the bail order was passed an hour later.

The Delhi Police had sought Singh's custody for two days.

According to reports, Singh was arrested following a complaint filed by the Priya Kapur at Delhi’s Vasant Kunj Police Station.

Dr Singh is a dermatologist and political commentator with a large following across X, Instagram, and YouTube under the alias “The Skin Doctor.”

His post, for which he was arrested, questioned the circumstances surrounding Sunjay Kapur’s death and raised issues related to his estate and inheritance disputes.

Priya Kapur has said that claims made in the tweet were false and fabricated.
