A Delhi court on Wednesday stayed the non-bailable warrants (NBWs) issued against former JNUSU president and CPI(M) leader Aishe Ghosh.
Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Vijayshree Rathore of Patiala House Court passed the order.
The NBW was issued on December 12, 2024 and on April 11, 2026, in a matter dating back to the year 2021.
The warrants were issued after she failed to participate in court proceedings in a case relating to protests and demonstrations held at Banga Bhawan in Delhi.
She was booked under Sections 188, 34 and 447 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Notably, on July 28, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) alleged that Delhi Police forcibly entered its headquarters to arrest Ghosh in the case.
