The investigation into the Porsche car accident in which a 17-year-old allegedly killed two persons in Pune, continues to hit headlines even after ten days with the case taking a turn each day.

In the latest, the Pune Police have arrested two doctors and a peon for allegedly manipulating the blood sample report of the minor, who allegedly was drunk when he hit the bike on which the two victims were travelling.

Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar in a presser on Monday said the blood sample sent by doctors to the forensic lab for analysis was not of the teenager.

Accordingly, Kumar said that charges of criminal conspiracy, forgery and destruction of evidence have been added to the case.

"The doctors who had sealed and sent the sample to forensic were detained yesterday. During interrogation, it was revealed that though the juvenile's sample was taken but it was thrown in dustbin. It was replaced with some other person's sample and then juvenile's name was written on it before sending it to the forensic lab," Kumar told the media.

The Police said the two doctors of Sassoon General Hospital would be today produced before the court for seeking their remand.

Who all have been arrested?

The Police have earlier arrested the juvenile, his father, the minor's grandfather and those associated with the pub - where the minor was allegedly served alcohol, in the case for their different roles.

Though the minor himself had been released by a Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) under parental monitoring soon after the accident, his bail was subsequently cancelled and he was sent to an observation home.

The minor has been booked under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and other provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Family's role

The father of the minor was last week sent to judicial custody till June 7 by a Pune court, the Press Trust of India reported. He is a prominent builder in the city.

According to the news report carried by the NDTV, he has been arrested for wilful neglect of his child and also on possible destruction of some evidence.

The NDTV today reported that he has been booked under additional charges of forgery, criminal conspiracy, and destruction of evidence.

On May 25, the grandfather of the teen was also arrested on the charges of kidnapping and wrongful confinement of their driver.

The grandfather, as per the news report of The Indian Express, had told the driver that he would be rewarded if he took the blame for the accident and threatened him with dire consequences if he did not agree.

In a recent press conference, the Police said the driver after being questioned in the case had allegedly been kidnapped by the family of accused.

"The juvenile's grandfather is currently in police custody. The juvenile's father would be taken on production [in connection kidnapping charge] and an application has been moved for it," the Pune Police Commissioner said today,

Kumar added that a comprehensive and coordinated probe was ongoing in the case on war footing basis.

"Whoever is found guilty in the involved, strict action will be taken," he said.
