ELP promotes Sanjay Notani and Darshan Upadhyay to Equity Partnership; Makes 8 new Associate Partners

ELP has recently announced the promotions for the year 2014, with two of the firm’s Partners Sanjay Notani and Darshan Upadhyay being promoted to equity partnership. The move takes the total number of equity partners to 9.

Sanjay Notani has been with the firm since its inception and is part of the firm’s International Trade and Customs practice.

Darshan Upadhyay is part of the firm’s Corporate & Commercial practice, joining  the firm in 2010.

Managing Partner, Rohan Shah said, “Sanjay and Darshan are outstanding professionals who have built a strong reputation for excellence in their practices and client relationships. We are delighted t have these two stalwarts elevated to our equity partnership.”

The firm has also promoted 8 SAs to Associate Partner level across the Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Chennai offices.

The newly promoted Associate Partners include Aakanksha Joshi, Deep Roy, Hardik Modh, Harsh Shah, Jitendra Motwani, Karthik Sundaram, Kumar Visalaksh and Ranjeet Mahtani.

Recently, former Bharti Airtel General Counsel Jyoti Pawar also joined ELP as a Partner to head the firm’s corporate practice in Delhi.
