On November 22, 2012 lawyers from across the globe gathered at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Hong Kong to celebrate the achievements of women lawyers in Asia. The event also sought to celebrate the accomplishments of law firms that provide women friendly environment.

Pratibha Singh (pictured), IP lawyer and Managing Partner at Singh & Singh was named the Best Intellectual Property Litigator in Asia region.
Speaking to Bar & Bench, Pratibha Singh said, “This Award proves that India has a vibrant IP Bar matching global standards.”
The competition was with some of the very best intellectual property lawyers in Asia. The other nominees in this category included Kherk Ying Chew from Wong & Partners, Odette Gourley from Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Mitsuko Miyagawa from TMI Associates, Sharon Qiao from Rouse, Ambika Sreenevasan from Sreenevasan Advocates & Solicitors, Annie Tsoi from Deacons and Darani Vachanavuttivong from Tilleke & Gibbins.
Last year, Pallavi Shroff was named Best Lawyer in Dispute Resolution at the inaugural Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2011 held in Hong Kong.
This year, Amarchand Managaldas Partner Pallavi Shroff was nominated in the Competition Law and Dispute Resolution Practice Area while AZB Managing Partner Zia Mody was nominated in Merger & Acquisition Practice Area. Shefali Goradia of BMR Advisors was too nominated in Tax Practice Area.
Amarchand Mangaldas was awarded the Best National Law Firm for women. The other firms nominated in this category were Dua Associates, JSA and Khaitan & Co.
In the firm awards category, Amarchand Mangaldas was awarded the Best National Firm Mentoring and Career Advancement Programme for Women.
Amarchand Mangaldas was also nominated for Best National Law firm for Women in Business Law and Best National Law Firm for Work Life Balance for having a Creche/Day Care.
