Ex-Dua, Platinum lawyer Soumit Mohapatra is new Brand Capital legal head

A month after Vinod Joseph’s exit, Brand Capital has hired Soumit Mohapatra as its new legal head.

The move was first reported by VCCircle.

A graduate of ILS, Pune, Soumit started his career with Dua Associates in 2002. He worked with Australian law firm Gilbert + Tobin, before joining Lexygen.

He also worked as a consultant for Platinum Partners, before he quit in 2015 to be an independent legal consultant.

Soumit will replace Vinod Joseph, who has joined IDFC Alternatives as General Counsel last month.
