Girl students rowing across dam to reach school prompts Bombay High Court to take suo-motu cognizance
The laudable object of 'Beti bachao, Beti padhao' (save the girl, educate the girl) campaign can be achieved only by providing safe passage and friendly atmosphere to girl children by State, the Court observed.
The Bombay High Court on Monday took suo motu cognizance of the arduous journey which young girls in a Maharashtra village have to undertake to reach their schools.
