[Coronavirus] Gujarat HC on lockdown for a week: Two Benches to hear matters through video conferencing/Skype/Whatsapp, Filing through Email

The Gujarat High court will be on lockdown for a week, as part of precautionary measures in view of the Coronavirus outbreak.

All filing during this time would is to be done through email, for which necessary arrangements are being made.

Two Benches will be constituted - one Single Bench and one Division Bench.

Arguments in matters taken up will be heard through video conferencing, Skype, WhatsApp voicecall or other convenient media, but not by personal appearance.

Bhadrish Raju and Aditya Bhatt, nominated by the President of the Gujarat High Court Advocates' Association, Yatin Oza, would be assisting the High Court IT department to work out the process for the new system. The GHCAA Secretary Genral, Hardik Brahmbatt would also be associated with the process.
