Hapur lynching: What UP court decided after victims said no ill will, don't impose death penalty
The victims appealed to the Court that they held no enmity towards the accused and were solely seeking justice. They further requested the Court not to impose the death penalty on the convicts.
A sessions court in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday held ten persons guilty in the 2018 Hapur lynching case which involved the murder of 45-year-old Qasim and the assault of 62-year-old Samaydeen based on a false rumor of cow slaughter.
