High Courts cannot direct trial courts to write bail order in particular manner: Supreme Court

Constitutional courts cannot encroach upon the discretionary powers of trial courts by prescribing a specific format for writing orders in bail cases, the Supreme Court said.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday held that Constitutional courts (High Courts and Supreme Court) do not have the authority to direct trial courts to adopt a specific format or manner for writing orders in bail cases [Ayub Khan v. State of Rajasthan].
