The Supreme Court today vacated the stay imposed on IIT JEE counselling..A Bench of Justices Dipak Misra, AM Khanwilkar and Mohan Shantanagoudar refused to accept the submissions of the petitioner regarding the arbitrariness in awarding grace marks for wrong question..The Bench gave green signal to go ahead with the admission process and refused to enter into individual grievances of the various student petitioners..However, the Court decided that the question pertaining to evolving a mechanism to prevent errors in question papers should be considered and has asked the Centre to submit its response on the same..The case, limited to the above issue, will now be heard on October 10.
