JSA Family has issued a heartfelt obituary in his honour:

“‎In the wee-hours of the morning of 2nd December we suffered a devastating unfair and untimely loss of a much loved member of the JSA family – Vishal Anand. It is a deep personal loss for many who worked closely with Vishal at JSA for over 6 years.

Vishal was an amazing young man driven to achieve with a never-say-die attitude in the face of a challenge. He had tremendous energy, a big heart, an infectious laugh and a child-like enthusiasm for everything. He was one of the pillars of our team and amongst the bright young leaders in the firm.

Vishal was a committed family man – carefully planning for a secure and happy future with his loving wife Neha and young daughter Darshi. He was a devoted son and brother.

At a very young age he earned the respect of the judges he appeared before, and made a place in the heart of his clients, friends and professional opponents alike – many of them have called and written in expressing absolute dismay and shock.

It is heartbreaking to see such an accomplished young man being snatched away from his loving family and from us at such a young age. Our hearts go out to his grieving wife Neha, his young daughter Darshi, parents and younger brother. May God give peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss. We stand by them at this sad moment in their lives.

The JSA family was fortunate to have Vishal amongst us and acknowledges with gratitude his contribution to the firm and to our lives.”

He specialised in Regulatory Advisory and Dispute Resolution, with special expertise in the electricity sector. He has represented a variety of public and private companies before different forums including High Courts, Electricity Regulatory Commissions, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity and the Supreme Court of India.
