Juris Corp announced the exit of four of its Partners – Veena Sivaramakrishnan, Sandeep Mahapatra, Debanjan Banerjee and Abhinav Surana.

The firm’s Managing Partner Jayesh H commented,

“Sandeep & Veena have been an integral part of the Firm for many years. It has been immense pleasure working with them and with Debanjan and Abhinav. I thank all of them for all their invaluable contributions and wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.”

Jayesh further added,

“The journey in the past two years has been very exhilarating and we will now be building upon it in the coming years with further reorientation.”

Last year, Juris Corp had opened its Bangalore office with Debanjan Banerjee – who had joined the firm from Fox Mandal – to expand its presence in South India.

Abhinav Surana too joined the firm last year from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Abhinav is dual qualified to practice in India and England & Wales. He had joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai after completing his training contract with Herbert Smith in London.

Veena Sivaramakrishnan rejoined the firm in 2009 from ICICI Bank. She is a graduate of NALSAR.

Commenting on her decision to leave the firm, Veena said,

“Juris Corp, and Jayesh in particular, have given me the opportunity, space and platform to grow as a professional and develop as a person. The faith reposed in me by the clients across the globe and colleagues, teammates and friends in the industry and outside is something that I am grateful for”.

Sandeep joined Juris Corp in 2012 from Fox Mandal. He was part of the Disputes practice team.

After these exits, the firm will now have seven partners and 50 associates across its offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.
