Justice Jaishree Thakur, Senior Advocate GK Mann nominated as members of Punjab & Haryana Bar Council

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has nominated former Justice Jaishree Thakur and Senior Advocate Gursharan Kaur Mann as members of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana.

A memorandum to this effect was issued by the High Court Registrar General, stating that the Chief Justice made the nominations in consultation with the elected members of the State Bar Council, pursuant to an order dated September 12, 2026.

The nominations have been carried out in line with the directions issued by the Supreme Court in Yogamaya M.G. vs. Union of India and others to ensure the co-option of women members to State Bar Councils.
