Justice Rajasekhar Mantha of Calcutta High Court initiates contempt case against lawyers for barring access to his court

The judge was prevented from holding court on Monday after TMC lawyers protesting against the protection he granted to BJP's Suvendu Adhikari barred access to his courtroom.

A day after being prevented from continuing with his usual court proceedings, Justice Rajasekhar Mantha of the Calcutta High Court on Tuesday initiated suo motu contempt proceedings against protesting lawyers who barred access to his courtroom on Monday.
