K Law hires Cyril Amarchand’s Sharad Joshi as Associate Partner in Mumbai

Sharad Joshi, formerly a Senior Associate with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, has joined Krishnamurthy & Co as an Associate Partner.

Joshi did his B. Com from University of Mumbai in 2003. He went on to do an LL.B as well as an LL.M. from the same university. In 2006, he joined Link Legal, before shifting to in-house practice in 2009 with Gammon Infrastructure. He made the shift back to a law firm in August 2012, when he joined Clasis Law. Before joining CAM last year, he worked as a Legal Consultant with Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited.

Commenting on the move, Managing Partner, Naina Krishnamurthy said,

“I am very happy to welcome Sharad Joshi as Associate Partner in our Mumbai office. His expertise in Projects and Project Finance will complement our very strong infrastructure practice. With Pradeep Ratnam heading the practice group from Delhi and Sharad’s induction in Mumbai, our Infrastructure practice will further strengthen pan India.”

This is the third move out of Cyril Amarchand this month, after the departures of Gurpreet Ashar and Ipsita Dutta. Last month, Asim Abbas joined the firm from Shardul Amarchand, while Khaitan & Co’s Anshuman Sakle also joined as a Partner.

K Law has also seen some moves in an out over the past couple of months. Last month, Gautham Srinivas left the firm to join Khaitan, whereas Citius Law Partners co-founders Abhishek Shinde and Atish Kumar Vatts were brought in as Partners in the firm’s Delhi office.
