The Karnataka High Court yesterday passed an order staying the operation of the Bar Council of India Certificate and Place of Practice (Verification) Rules, 2015. Justice Abdul Nazeer, who passed the interim order, was hearing a petition filed by AP Ranganatha, a former General Secretary of the Association of Advocates of Bangalore. Shridhar Prabhu, Partner at Link Legal was the legal counsel for Ranganatha.
