As per data revealed in the Legislative Council, as many as 13,770 cases are pending with the Lokayukta..Justice Phaneendra was born on May 20, 1958 an enrolled as an Advocate on August 7, 1985. He was recruited as a District and Sessions Judge in 1998 and served as Additional District and Sessions Judge at Bangalore and Shimoga and as Principal District and Sessions Judge at Udupi, Haveri and Belgaum.He was also Secretary to the Chief Justice of the High Court of Karnataka, and Principal Secretary to Karnataka government's law department. He was appointed as an additional judge of the Karnataka High Court in October 2013 and was made a permanent judge in March 2016. He retired in May 2020.
