Kerala High Court issues contempt notice to Central government for delay in appointing Kerala Administrative Tribunal Chairman

The Court had, in June, directed the Central government to make a recommendation for the appointment of Chairman within three weeks.

The Kerala High Court on Monday issued contempt of court notices to the Union Cabinet Secretary and the Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) of the Central government for their failure to appoint a Chairman of the Kerala Administrative Tribunal (KAT) in disregard of the Court's previous orders in the matter (Kerala Administrative Tribunal Ernakulam Advocates' Association v. Rajiv Gauba IAS and Anr.)
