Former Khaitan Partner Upendra Joshi joins Legasis Partners

Former Khaitan & Co Partner Upendra Joshi has joined Legasis Partners as a Partner in its Mumbai office with effect from September 1, 2017.

He has more than 23 years of experience focusing on infrastructure related mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures, as well as projects in energy and natural resources including power (conventional and renewables and nuclear energy), telecom, mines & minerals, airports, ports etc.

At Legasis Partners, Upendra will head the Corporate, M&A, Projects & Project Finance, PPP, Nuclear Power and Capital Markets practice. Upendra will also play a significant role in the overall development of the firm’s practice.

Joshi had joined Khaitan in 2005 from AZB & Partners. He was made Partner in 2007. He has previously also worked at Little & Co. and Avinash Ganu & Associates.

In April this year, Uday Bopshetty, a senior litigator with over 44 years of experience had joined the firm’s litigation team.
