The apps have been banned citing emergent threats based on the activities these apps are engaged in.
Indian Govt bans PUBG, 117 other apps citing interests of National Sovereignty, Integrity, Security, Public Order
A total of 118 apps have been banned by the Indian Government citing national security interests.

After banning 59 Chinese apps in July, the Indian government has now banned 118 more apps, including popular gaming app PUBG, in view of information that these apps are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity, defence, the security of the State and public order.
