Dr. OV Nandimath of NLSIU appointed Vice-Chancellor of WB NUJS

Dr. OV Nandimath has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS).

Dr. Nandimath takes over the role from Dr. NK Chakrabarti who has held the office since 2019.

The WBNUJS Executive Council decided to appoint Nandimath to the post pursuant to a student protest demanding the resignation of Dr. Chakrabarti.

Dr. Nandimath is presently a faculty member at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) and has previously held the role of Registrar at NLSIU. He was also visiting faculty at Warwick University and Cardiff University.

He is a Chevening scholar and has been a Fulbright Fellow and Stegner Fellow to the University of Utah.
