JGLS appoints 103 new full-time faculty members, faculty strength now at 425

Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) has hired 103 new full-time faculty members, including 42 Academic Tutors & TRIP Fellows. This takes the total number of full-time faculty members for the 2020-2021 academic session to 425..In addition to these faculty members, 12 Senior Advocates of the Supreme Court of India and 11 law firm Partners offer 21 specialised elective courses to the students of JGLS under the aegis of the Lawyering Excellence for Advocacy Development (LEAD) Programme and the Corporate Lawyering Advancement through Immersion and Mentoring (CLAIM) Programme..With the new appointments, JGLS maintains a Faculty-Student Ratio of 1:9, four times more than the regulatory requirements of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Bar Council of India (BCI).68% of the newly hired faculty are women, taking the overall percentage of women faculty members at JGLS to 57%.Further, 76% of the JGLS faculty have at least one international qualification.
