Professor (Dr) Usha Tandon has been appointed as the new Dean and Head of the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. She is the 32nd Dean of the institution and occupies a position which has been previously held by many legal stalwarts..Professor (Dr) Usha Tandon is an eminent Professor of Environmental Law, Population Law, Gender Justice and Family Law. With the teaching experience of more than 30 years, she is a world renowned scholar for her work on human development focusing on environmental protection and women empowerment..Her book on Population Law in India is the only book of its kind which covers various population issues through the perspective of law and has been referred to extensively in India and abroad..She has authored/edited several books on various aspects of law relating to environmental protection and women rights viz. Energy Law (Oxford University Press); Biodiversity Law (Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group); Climate Change (Eastern Book Company); Gender Justice (Regal Publications); and Human Trafficking Law (Central Law Agency)..She has more than 50 research papers to her credit published in the journals of international and national repute.
