Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and National Law School of India (NLSIU), Bangalore, were the only Indian law schools that cracked the QS World University Rankings this year for the subject of law.
Jindal has been ranked in the top 101-150 group across all ranked law schools in the world, emerging the highest ranked Indian law school in the list of 300 law schools.
Founding Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University Naveen Jindal lauded the development as a historic development. He said,
“The fact that JGU and JGLS have achieved a stellar reputation and a global recognition in a decade gives us immense satisfaction. But more importantly, it reinforces the power of philanthropy and its role in institution building and nation building.”
NLSIU has been ranked in the top 151-200 group.
As far as law universities are concerned, the Harvard University has been ranked Number 1 in the world, followed by the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Yale University and Stanford University.
Overall, 894 law schools were considered to be eligible by QS for their rankings, out of which only 300 were ranked.
