Two third-year students of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur (MNLU Nagpur) recently passed away in a motor accident.

The students have been identified as Saksham Bansod and Aryan Sontakke.

As per a report, the students had gone out for dinner on Wednesday evening. While they were returning back to campus, their motorcycle veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge near a T-intersection behind Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, which is often used by MNLU staff and students.

The students were unable to contact anyone because Sontakke had forgotten his phone at the hotel and Bansod's phone battery was dead. They succumbed to their injuries.

The Student Bar Council has released a statement of condolence for the two students,

"Their loss is a matter of deep sorrow for the entire university community, and we mourn their absence with heavy hearts. Saksham and Aryan will be remembered fondly by their peers and teachers alike."
