Legora, the agentic operating system for legal professionals, has raised a US$550 million Series E at a US$8.8 billion post-money valuation.
Atreides Management led the round, with new investors including Baron Capital, Capital Group, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Glade Brook Capital Partners, and J.P. Morgan.
All major existing investors, including Accel, Benchmark, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, ICONIQ, Insight Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and Sands Capital, are also participating.
The raise comes as Legora's adoption grows in India, where customers include leading law firms such as Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Veritas Legal, as well as in-house legal teams. Legora has an office in Bengaluru, one of its Asia-Pacific offices alongside Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, and Seoul, and expects its regional team to reach more than 100 people by the end of 2026.
"India's legal market is large, fast-moving and increasingly connected to the rest of the world. Law firms like Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and in-house teams here are moving from trying AI to relying on it for real work. Bengaluru is part of a team that's growing across Asia-Pacific, and this round means we can keep investing in the people and the product that customers in India depend on," said Heather Paterson, VP of Legora APJ.
The round follows a period of rapid growth. Legora went from US$1 million to US$100 million in ARR in less than 18 months, faster than any other enterprise software company selling through a direct sales team, and the next US$100 million took less than six months. ARR now stands at more than US$200 million. The new valuation compares with US$5.6 billion at the company's previous round.
"The opportunity in legal is enormous and we are still early. AI is changing the role of the lawyer, with more time for judgement and advice, and it is reshaping how law firms and in-house legal teams are organised and how their work gets done. We intend to lead that shift in the US and globally. We chose investors who share our long-term view and know what it takes to build a lasting company. They are the right partners for the years ahead," said Max Junestrand, CEO and Co-Founder of Legora.
The capital will support continued expansion and deepen investment in the Legora aOS, the agentic operating system that lawyers and their agents work in, bringing new products such as agentic intake, horizon scanning and legal research to customers.
