2002 Godhra Riots: Justice Samir Dave of Gujarat High Court recuses from hearing quashing plea by Teesta Setalvad

The rights' activist had moved the High Court earlier this week, to quash the complaint filed against her for allegedly fabricating evidence pertaining to the Godhra riots to implicate then Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Gujarat High Court judge Justice Samir Dave Thursday recused himself from hearing the plea filed by rights' activist Teesta Setalvad seeking to quash the the case lodged against her by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for alleged evidence fabrication in relation to the 2002 Godhra riots [Teesta Atul Setalvad vs State of Gujarat].
