300 fresh cases will be listed before Supreme Court vacation benches in first week: CJI DY Chandrachud
Vacation benches usually hear matters that need urgent hearing and fresh cases are taken up only if urgent relief is required or if the concerned bench agrees to hear it.
Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud said on Tuesday that the vacation benches sitting during the Supreme Court's summer break will be hearing fresh cases, and that 300 fresh cases will be listed in the first week of the summer vacation.
