The Calcutta High Court Bar Association has resolved to boycott the Court of Justice Ashis Kumar Chakraborty, citing the judge's "bad behaviour" with a lawyer.

A letter was submitted on February 14 by 319 members of the Bar Association, highlighting the incident. Following this, the Bar Association held a general meeting on February 17, in which the resolution was passed.

It had been unanimously resolved in the meeting that as a sign of protest against the bad behaviour of Justice Ashis Kumar Chakraborty with Advocate Partha Ghosh, the members of the Association would refrain from appearing before Justice Chakraborty till further decision in the matter.
