The Allahabad High Court last week refused to grant bail to former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Mukhtar Ansari in a case under the Uttar Pradesh Gangster and Anti-social Activities (Prevention) Act 1986 [Mokhtar Ansari v. State of Uttar Pradesh].
