"There is rise in crimes of this nature", Allahabad High Court denies bail to student who blackmailed his classmate, hacked her social media

The accused allegedly hacked his classmate's Instagram and Snapchat accounts and sent obscene and objectionable messages from these accounts to other boys, among other charges.

The Allahabad High Court recently observed that there is a rise in crimes committed using technology, particularly against women, while rejecting the bail plea by a student accused of blackmailing and threatening his classmate after hacking her social media accounts.
