Allahabad High Court seeks ASI reply in plea for scientific investigation of 'Shivling' found in Gyanvapi Mosque

The petition states that the lower court wrongly presumed that a scientific investigation in the form of carbon dating or use of a ground penetrating radar would harm or damage the object found.

The Allahabad High Court on Friday sought the response of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in a petition challenging a Varanasi Court's ruling that rejected scientific investigation of an object, believed to be a Shivling, found during a survey of the Gyanvapi Mosque premises.
