Allahabad High Court seeks State response in a PIL to monitor pollution caused by wood-based industries

"It is brought to our notice that a huge concentration of wood-based industries, including, saw-mills are being established in NCR by way of transfer from other districts of the State of Uttar Pradesh," the order reads.

The Allahabad High Court on Thursday directed the State government to file its response in a petition bringing to attention the high degree of pollution in Uttar Pradesh and areas in the National Capital Region (Uday Educare And Welfare Trust v. State of Uttar Pradesh).
