[Aryan Khan drug case] Seven co-accused get bail from Mumbai NDPS court

A Mumbai court on Saturday granted bail to seven accused in the cruise ship drug case two days after the Bombay High Court had granted bail to three accused including prime accused in the case, Aryan Khan..Additional Sessions Judge VV Patil, Special Court under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act granted bail to the following persons..Aachit Kumar - He is accused of having supplied drugs to Khan and co-accused Arbaaz Merchant. The Court had reserved order on his application on October 27, 2021. Advocate Ashwin Thool appeared on his behalf. .Nupur Satija and Gomit Chopra - They were arrested after they were found with intermediate quantities of contraband. Satija and Chopra were the first set of accused, who were found with intermediate quantities to get bail. Satija was represented by Advocate Ayaz Khan and Chopra was represented by Advocate Kushal Mor..Gopal Anand, Samir Saigal, Manav Singhal and Bhaskar Arora - They are purported organisers belonging to the 'Caneplus Trading Private Limited' from the organising team of the event/ party which was supposed to take place on the cruise. The four were charged with 'harbouring offenders' under Section 27A of the NDPS Act. Advocates Harsh Gangurde with Sajal Yadav represented them..Special Public Prosecutor Advait Sethna appeared for NCB. .After hearing all counsel, the Court was informed by Sethna that the reasoned order of the High Court order in Aryan Khan's case has not been uploaded yet. Judge Patil decided to wait for the order but the order was not uploaded on Saturday morning as well.Hence, on requests by the defence counsel, Judge Patil pronounced the operative portion.
