The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) initiated a case under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act after they conducted a raid on the Cordelia Empress Cruise which was to leave for Goa from Mumbai International Port Terminal on October 2, 2021. .After detaining and thereafter arresting Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, NCB arrested 19 more persons allegedly having nexus to each other and who were allegedly part of the drug trafficking conspiracy. .Lawyers appearing for NCB.In a first, NCB was being represented by an Additional Solicitor General (ASG) right from the stage of remand before the Magistrate.ASG Anil Singh is representing NCB assisted by Advocate Shreeram Shirsat who is on the panel of advocates to represent Union of India. Shirsat was also assisting ASG in the Rhea Chakraborty case in High Court.NCB also has a panel of Special Public Prosecutors (SPP) appearing in Magistrate and Sessions Court.
