Bombay High Court initiates suo motu PIL for preservation of Ramsar Convention sites

The High Court took cognizance of the matter following a Supreme Court order from December 11, which called for the protection of Ramsar Convention sites across the country.

The Bombay High Court on Friday initiated a suo motu Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to monitor the conservation and preservation of Ramsar Convention sites in Maharashtra.
