[BREAKING] CBI files FIR in Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case, names Rhea Chakraborty & her family

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday registered an FIR in Sushant Singh Rajput death case, after the Centre handed over the case to the agency on the recommendation of Bihar government..Earlier this week Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had submitted before the Supreme Court that a notification stating that CBI has accepted Bihar government's recommendation to take over the probe would be released shortly. .The death of Sushant Singh Rajput: Allegations of nepotism and locus standi to file criminal complaints.The CBI FIR takes into account the FIR registered by Bihar police too. It names Rhea Chakraborty, her parents, her brother Showik apart from two others for suspected offences of criminal conspiracy, abetment of suicide, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, theft, criminal breach of trust, cheating and criminal intimidation..The FIR invokes sections 341, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306, 506, 120B of the Indian Penal Code against (1) Rhea Chakarborty and her family members (2) Shri Indarjit Chakarborty, (3) Smt. Sandhya Chakraborty, (4) Sh. Showik Chakraborty, (5) Sh Samuel Miranda, and (6 ) Mrs Shruti Modi and others.Sushant was found dead in his flat in Mumbai's Bandra on June 14. Later Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recommended a CBI probe on the request of Sushant's father K.K. Singh.
