[Breaking] Sunday Hearing: Supreme Court to hear a plea by journalist Vinod Dua seeking protection in relation to FIRs against him

A Supreme Court headed by Justice UU Lalit will convene on Sunday, June 14 to hear an urgent plea by journalist Vinod Dua who is seeking protection against coercive action in multiple FIRs.

The Bench comprising Justices UU Lalit, Mohan M Shantanagoudar, and Vineet Saran will convene on Sunday to hear an urgent plea filed by Dua in relation to multiple FIRs filed against him.

Dua is accused of having made certain statements in his YouTube program, the Vinod Dua show, which were allegedly of the nature to incite communal hatred and lead to breach of peace and communal disharmony.

It is in relation to these multiple FIRs that Dua has approached the Supreme Court seeking protection from coercive action, including arrest and the matter being one relating to personal liberty of a person, will be taken up on an urgent basis on Sunday.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had stayed the investigation on an FIR filed against Dua in Delhi in relation to the same program in question.
