[BREAKING] Supreme Court upholds disqualification of SP leader Abdullah Azam Khan for discrepancy in date of birth

The Allahabad High Court had disqualified the son of senior SP leader Azam Khan after he had shown himself to be older than he actually was in his election affidavit.

The Supreme Court on Monday upheld an order of the Allahabad High Court disqualifying Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Abdullah Azam Khan owing to a discrepancy in his date of birth provided in official records. (Abdullah Azam Khan vs Nawab Kazim Ali Khan)
